| About the Clarenville Nordic Ski Club |
| The Clarenville Nordic Ski Club was formed in October of 1973 to develop and promote the sport of cross country skiing in the Clarenville area. In a short period of time the Club has become one of the most active in the province. Last year the Club had an active membership of approximately 314 members. The Club organizes regular weekend tours of a varied nature and hosts a number of special events, including the Discovery Tour. |
|
The heart of the Club is in the Touring Program which is designed to accommodate all skiers in the Club. The Touring Program for the winter of 2005 is outlined later in this booklet. Most tours are scheduled for Sunday afternoon and designed for all levels of skiers. Unless otherwise indicated - meet at the Lee Churchill Chalet. In the event of a lack of snow, there will be a hike instead. |

HUTS
The club operates three huts in the area of the White Hills Ski Resort. The headquarters is our new chalet at the entrance of the Prairie Pond Trail called the Lee Churchill Chalet. There are also two others - the Bear Pond Hut at Bear Pond (about 5 km from the start) and the Trollhaugen Hut at Prairie Pond (5 km). We also have a hut at Lindo’s Lookout behind the White Hills.
